Born in a small workshop in Wolverhampton, Midland Power Press Services has grown from a one man operation into the first name UK industry call when presses develop a fault.
The MPPS 30-strong team of skilled and experienced engineers offer a range of services including on-site service, spare parts, repair, inspection, maintenance, machine refurbishment and modernisation.
An emergency power press repair service guarantees an engineer on site the same day, whilst our in-house machine shop provides all the capacity needed to repair parts for power presses, hydraulic presses, forging machines and auxiliary equipment.
Our electrical department provides on- site service and repairs, new control systems, and has become a leading provider of press inspection services to comply with health and safety legislation.
We also offer preventative servicing and maintenance to all of our customers, which have proven to reduce repair costs over the course of the year.
At our Tipton, West Midlands factory we have continued to invest in equipment with the introduction of CNC machine tools and Portable Coordinate Measuring Machine.
The ability to respond quickly and offer engineering solutions has seen us continue to grow annual sales and we count blue chip customers in the automotive, aerospace, white goods, forging and food and drink sectors amongst our client base.
Services Midland Power Press Services Provide
We believe in a close relationship with our customers and that we ensure we meet their requirements on every job we do.
On Site Service
Service engineers are available on demand to attend breakdowns and carry out emergency repairs. They undertake scheduled maintenance programmes for customers to monitor machine condition and give advice on future maintenance and repair requirements.
In order to ensure a fast turnaround for repairs, MPPS holds a comprehensive spares stock. This includes anything from clutch and brake cages and friction plates to shear plates, knife extractors, clutch keys and springs.
Power Press Inspection
Our specialists are available to undertake the comprehensive mechanical and electrical examination of your presses and ancillary production equipment, and give you a full report on the condition of your equipment.
In these days when OEM manufacturers minimise production stock and require "Just in Time" deliveries, the pressure on suppliers to maintain production and deliveries can be costly when unexpected breakdowns occur.
